Once again thanks to everyone for celebrating with us.

Insideout Clothing is celebrating their 5^th birthday and Ican hardly believe where the time has gone. “I have a photo of the first day I opened the door as Insideout Clothing and it feels like just yesterday”. And in 5 years there has been lots happening since purchasing the business. ‘When I bought the shop it was called South Gippsland Clothing Co, but after being operated by Vikki Anderson for 25 years it had affectionately become known as ‘Vikki’s’ over time. I always had intentions of change but I was conscious of keeping the ethics of the store the same as what it had been over its long history which had been providing a large range of fashion for just about everyone. I felt that to put my own flair on the store it needed a face lift and so after many hours of brainstorming I came up with the name Insideout Clothing just weeks prior to opening the shop. When the name came to me I couldn’t understand why I hadn’t thought of it sooner.

 Over the last 5 years other than the name change we have introduced several new brands including Yarra Trail and Black Pepper, held increasingly popular Fashion Parades, raised money for Children’s Medical Research by towing a car with a pair of Jeans, held many great sales and our window displays at Christmas time have become a talking point in town for December. There is always something going on at Insideout, we never rest!!

They  are always on the look out for new products. Just recently we introduced the Snug as a Bug baby wraps which are fleece wraps that allow babies to be wrapped up cosy and warm whilst having their legs free to be belted into prams and car seats. As a new mummyself I have found these great when leaving my warm house to get something quickly from the shops I can take Cody out without having to find a whole new outfit and the built in hood has been great to keep the rain off when getting him in and out of the car. 

To celebrate our 5^th birthday we will have lots going on. Thursday 30^th June is our birthday and we will be giving things away all day including products and gift vouchers and every purchase made on the day will go into the draw to win the major prize where the winner will be able to choose any two items in the store for free. This would be a great opportunity for someone to get a new pair of jeans for instance at no cost! There will also be lots of special birthday deals on offer around the store for instance, Purchase any Adventureline thermal top or long john and buy the second item ½ price, perfect for this cold wet winter we are experiencing. And as if that all wasn’t enough we will be holding a 1 day sale on Friday. 25% off storewide with no exceptions, which means all new winter stock is included.

Insideout clothing and Susie Green Dance schools annual fashion parade is on again Sunday the 15^th August at 3pm and it will be bigger and better than ever. In fact this will be the 5^th parade that they have hosted together, and from the humble beginnings held in the Masonic hall,  to now with sell out sales held in the Foster War Memorial Arts Centre the parade has certainly become popular event.

 This year money raised from ticket sales will be going to support the local SES to help them with purchasing new equipment such as pumps, chainsaws and other tooling. All money raised for the SES stays within the local branch so you know that when you donate money it will stay in our community. Local member  Peter Graham said they are always looking for new members ‘People join the SES for many different reasons such as helping out the community, or the camaraderie and opportunity to meet new people’. Being in SES gives you the opportunity to learn new skills through their regular training which can teach you skills to assist in storm recovery, to search and rescue operations.

Featuring clothing from the wide range that is available at Insideout clothing you will be treated to new arrival fashions, colour, fun, music and a little humor as well. Never one to take herself too seriously Janine Best of Insideout clothing said “ the parade is a lot of fun. It isn’t like your old fashioned style parade with an MC announcing each model and outfit. We try to let the stories of clothing speak for themselves and with Susie’s creative choreography there is always a lot of fun and laughter involved too’

Now that summer has reached its end we must clear our summer stock to make way for luxurious and cosy new winter arrivals coming our way.
